The Point Cook Football Club is thrilled to announce Saade Ghazi as our new Senior Men’s Coach for the 2025 and 2026 seasons!
Saade boasts an illustrious football career. A legend at the Williamstown Football Club, where he played 204 games and kicked 291 goals & was awarded the prestigious J.J. Liston Medal (VFA/VFL Best & Fairest) in 1989.
Saade’s coaching journey began in 2001 at Epping, and he further developed his craft at Port Melbourne, leading the Senior VFL team from 2005 to 2007. His subsequent return to Williamstown saw him contribute in various coaching roles. In 2013, Saade shifted to local footy, transforming the Avondale Heights team from 9th place in 2012 to consecutive finals appearances in 2013 and 2014. He continued his successful coaching trajectory at Altona in the WFNL from 2016 to 2019, guiding his team to finals every season, and coming heartbreakingly close to victory in the 2019 Grand Final.
Saade’s recent coaching stint was with Greensborough in the Northern Football League, where his team played finals in 2022 and narrowly missed out in 2023. After a refreshing break in 2024, Saade is eager to bring his expertise to the Point Cook Football Club, where he is excited to develop our young and emerging talent. He envisions an energetic and dynamic brand of footy that will invigorate Saltwater Reserve.
We are delighted to welcome Saade, Isabel and his family to the Point Cook Bulldogs. As we look forward to 2025, we are confident that Saade’s leadership will help us rebound and build a foundation for sustainable success in the years to come.
Go Bulldogs!
