Point Cook Football Club is delighted to announce that Vinnie Turcinovich will take on the role of Under 18s Head Coach for the 2027 season! 🏉
Vinnie brings a wealth of football knowledge and experience to Point Cook, including Division 2 premiership success with Yarraville-Seddon Seniors in 2019, where he was also named WRFL Senior Coach of the Year.
Most recently, Vinnie coached the East Brighton senior side in the Southern Football Netball League in 2026, adding to a coaching resume that includes experience with Port Melbourne VFL, Western Jets and senior and junior football programs.
Vinnie also enjoyed a successful playing career, including being a premiership player with Spotswood and playing VFL football with Williamstown.
His experience across junior, senior and VFL football will be a fantastic asset to our Under 18s program as we continue to develop our young players and build a strong pathway into senior football.
We’re excited to have Vinnie on board and look forward to seeing him lead our Under 18s group in 2027.
There will be a meet-the-coach evening at the club on Wednesday 7th October for our 2027 Under 18.5 players and parents.

Point Cook Football Club is excited to announce Ben Aquilina will continue his coaching journey with the club as our Development Coach for Season 2027! 🏉
Ben took over the Development Team (Reserves) for the second half of the 2026 season, building on the excellent work Dave Da Silva started while bringing his own style, energy, and messaging to the group.
After stepping away from his playing career at Point Cook, it’s fantastic to see Ben take the next step in developing his coaching craft and become an important part of our Senior Coaching Panel alongside Saade Ghazi and the coaching team.
We’re excited to see what Ben and the Development Team can achieve in 2027! 💪

Point Cook Football Club is pleased to announce that Saade Ghazi has been re-appointed as Senior Coach for the 2027 season.
Saade joined the club in 2025 and has strongly embraced our Team First and home-grown strategy for sustainable success, with a clear focus on player development and providing opportunities for our emerging talent.
Across both seasons, we have continued to develop our young talent and improve our competitiveness as the year progressed. This season was another great example, with the Seniors finishing strongly with a 3–2 record over the final five games to secure our place in the WFNL Division 1 Senior competition for 2027.
Saade’s re-appointment is the first in a series of announcements, with a number of exciting additions to our assistant coaching, player development and wellbeing structure’s to be announced ahead of next season.

Point Cook Football Club is incredibly proud to recognise Grace, Summer A, Coco, Brianna, Clair, Alana and Summer B on being invited to trial for the Western Jets Summer Pre-Season Squad.
Being selected to trial is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the dedication, hard work and commitment each player has shown throughout the season. The opportunity to test themselves alongside some of the region’s most talented young footballers is an outstanding experience and one they should all be incredibly proud of.
At Point Cook Football Club, we’re passionate about creating opportunities for girls to develop, compete and achieve their goals. Seeing seven of our U19 girls invited to trial—and four selected into the Western Jets summer training program, in addition to seven of our players already there — is a reflection of not only the commitment of these players, but also the strength of our girls football program, our coaches and the supportive environment we’ve built together.
To every player who trialled, thank you for representing our club with pride. We’re excited to watch each of you continue your football journey and can’t wait to see what the future holds.

As another home and away season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to congratulate every player, coach, team manager, volunteer, parent and supporter who has been part of the Point Cook Football Club junior program in 2026.
What a fantastic season it has been! From our Under 8s taking their first steps in football, to our oldest junior teams competing for top positions, we’ve witnessed incredible growth, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship across every age group. Every training session, every game, every volunteer shift and every cheer from the boundary has helped make this another season to remember.
