PCFC TRAINING UPDATE

The club is pleased to advise following the recent Government Announcements all teams training sessions will return to the days and times as they were pre lockdown.

FOOTY’S BACK!! – But it will look a little different this weekend.

But it will look a little different this weekend. We encourage everyone to play by the rules to ensure we can have everyone back soon.
 
All matches will be played this weekend as fixtured for Round 10.
 
Everyone MUST check in via QR codes provided around the reserve upon entry.
 
Unfortunately spectators ARE NOT ALLOWED (excludes people necessary for events such as officials, trainers, coaches, umpires, carers, parents and guardians)
 
For those at matches please to continue to practice social distancing and not groups larger than 20.
 
Access to the clubrooms will be for the use of toilets only.
 
CHANGE ROOMS:
  • The players, Coach, Team Manager and trainer are the only people permitted into the change rooms.
  • No Parents or Partners.

TRAINING IS BACK!

The club is pleased to announce that training is back commencing Tuesday June 15.
 
Under the current Government COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines from the WRFL & AFL Victoria, we must ensure that our return to training is done in a safe, hygienic and controlled matter.
 
With these restrictions and guidelines in mind, please see the below temporary training schedule which will remain in place until further notice.
 
Below are the mandatory requirements of all players, coaching staff and parents;
  • The maximum venue capacity is 100 people at any one time
  • You can travel up to 25km from your home to participate in training
  • Spectators, parents and/or guardians MUST remain in their car during training (excluding committee members, and team officials)
  • Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Team Managers MUST wear masks during training
  • Players must continue to bring their own drink bottle to training
  • Players are to wait in their car until training commences at their designated time
  • Players are to arrive NO EARLIER than 5 minutes before the start of training
  • All players, coaching staff and team managers MUST check in prior to training
 
Whilst the above restrictions are not ideal, they are temporary and we will keep everyone informed as soon as further information is received by the WRFL. We appreciate everyone’s patience whilst we navigate through the current restrictions.

Dear Point Cook FC Members, Officials, Parents and Supporters,

Following today’s State Government announcement that from 11:59pm tonight (27th May) Victoria will go into a 7-day Circuit Breaker Lockdown, the club wishes to advise that;

ALL TRAINING, MATCHES, AND CLUB ACTIVITIES BE SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.

These decisions are not made lightly; however, it is in the best interests of our players, coaches, volunteers and supporters. The protection of our broader communities health and safety remains our utmost priority.

We ask that all members keep engaged with the club and their respective teams/groups. And to check in with your mates.

We will continue to monitor the situation, taking action as required and recommended and will keep our Point Cook FC community informed.

TRAINING RECOMMENCES TONIGHT – ALL GRADES

Attention Point Cook Football Club Players and Parents,

Following further communication from the WRFL & AFL Victoria last night and this morning. The club is pleased to advise that ALL Club Training will go ahead as normal as of tonight (Wednesday 26th May).

We ask that we all follow the below protocols. All community leagues and clubs will be notified of any Restricted Activity Directions changes when they are provided to AFL Victoria.
• Masks indoors are mandatory for all within the Greater Melbourne area.
• All players/officials travelling to regional Victoria who resides in the Greater Melbourne area takes the restrictions with them currently applicable for greater Melbourne.
• Public gathering limits are no more than 30. Please use the get in and get out approach for any training this evening planned. Please limit the access to social rooms and change rooms in line with the current guidelines and ensure essential staff only.
• We would recommend that anyone attending training come dressed and ready to play/train and then get out.
• Only essential staff to be in attendance for example; coaches, officials and trainers.
• Juniors – please ensure parents do not gather beyond groups of 30 and use the approach of drop off and pick up.
• Social distancing is to be maintained at all times when not participating.
• QR codes are mandatory and need to be used for all in attendance at the relevant venues.

TRAINING CANCELLED TONIGHT – ALL GRADES

Attention Point Cook Football Club Players and Parents,

Training tonight, Tuesday 25th May has been cancelled for all grades.

The club will always put the safety and wellbeing of our participants first, with that in in mind, due to the current uncertainty around COVID-19 Restrictions following the State Government announcements and the impending weather on its way, we have decided to take the safe option and cancel training tonight for all grades.

We are waiting for further updates from the WRFL as they continue to get direction from AFL Victoria. We are hoping to have a further update either tonight or first thing tomorrow morning and we will inform you as soon as possible as to training/playing schedules when the advice is at hand.
