Tim, a Footscray local and avid Bulldogs supporter, looks the perfect fit in our Red, White & Blue. We once again welcome Tim to our great club and look forward to seeing him throughout the year down at Saltwater Reserve.

CHANGE TO CLUB PRESIDENT

The Point Cook Football Club wishes to advise that at last night’s Committee of Management Meeting, President Cameron McKenzie informed the committee that due to personal commitments he could no longer fulfil the full duties of President of the Club. Cameron advised the Committee that he would be stepping down from the role of President to take on a General Committee Position effective immediately.

The Club is pleased to advise that former President and General Committee Member Ivo Havard has put his hand up to once again take on the role of President of the Point Cook Football Club for season 2022, effective immediately.

The Committee unanimously supported and endorsed this decision at the meeting last night.

The Club would like to thank Cameron for all the work he has done over the last 2 and a half years to lead this great football club in the most unprecedented and challenging times we have seen. We would also like to thank Ivo for stepping into this role and we look forward to seeing you all around the club in season 2022.

VALE SHANE COMINO

The Point Cook Football Club are deeply saddened by the news that Club Life Member Shane Comino passed away this morning.

Shane had been involved in the club since it’s inception in 2003 having held numerous roles throughout the years, including general committee member from 2004 to 2016. Shane could have been seen opening up the club rooms every night, including match days, pumping up footys for training and games, meeting suppliers for deliveries and doing anything else the club needed at the time. Shane would be at the club on a Sunday morning at 7:30am preparing and cooking his famous Shano’s egg and bacon rolls. The club would not have got to the position it is in now if it wasn’t for all of Shane’s hard work.

Shane was awarded Club Person of the Year in 2005 & 2012 and in 2013 received the prestigious, and much-deserved Life Membership of the Point Cook Football Club.

The Point Cook Football Club sends its condolences and thoughts to Shane’s family and friends.
