Child Safety Hub

Child Safety Mission Statement

The Point Cook Football Club Inc. is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and well-being of children and young people in our care.

We seek to promote and protect the rights of all children in our care and prevent abuse from occurring by fostering a child safe culture. The welfare of the children in our care will always be our first priority and the Club has a zero tolerance to child abuse.

Policies & Procedures

In 2017, the Child Safe Standards were brought into effect for organisations such as the WRFL and its clubs. On the 1st of July 2022, the Victorian Government’s introduced 11 ’new’ Child Safe Standards and will be the responsibility of everyone in the Football & Netball community to ensure they are implemented and embedded in the culture of all clubs.

This Child Safety Resource Hub is a central location for training, templates and other resources to support our Child Safety Officers at the club, as well as for the benefit of any other club officials, parents or players who may want to better understand the Standards.

Other Resources

There are many resources available to assist in gaining an understanding of Child Safety and the obligations we have. These are just a few that will help us all when interacting with children.
